Hello again...

It's been a while...sorry!
Life feels a bit on hold (still) while the builders take an age (what is it with builders?) to fit out a tiny room..
The house is a bombsite whilst we wait and wait, (how do I collect so much crap?!) and as much as I think I can cope with mess, it's not conducive to sitting down comfortably with a cuppa and blogging. It has been lovely to catch up with all your posts though, and have something to take my mind off the thought of painting neatly around an extractor fan!

So, with the rain on its way the amazing sky inspired me to take a picture and share with you. Hello again... x

Some colour inspiration...

Whilst i'm eagerly waiting for the builders to finish our long awaited kitchen upheaval I am dreaming of tangerine...(and blue!)

Love!

A typography type of day...

A visit to the National Railway Museum...?
Well, once I might have said 'Pah! No chance matey!'
However, I now have two train mad boys, a VERY stormy day, and a new way of looking at things!
Admittedly I have liked old train signs/posters/typography so I had hoped to find a bit of railway paraphernalia there for me too...
Think the Pullman was my favourite. (It reminds me of that Stella advert where everything is blue and yellow...?)

Of course, despite all the amazing steam trains, history and displays of moving turntables the boys turned to their old chum Thomas the Tank Engine for the best fun of the day. (Well, they are only 2 and 4...)

ps. Did you spot the brightly coloured additions to the rolling stock roof? We also took part in the easter egg hunt, which was another highlight to the boys' day. Well, the chocolate bit was the highlight. The hunt was just a means to an end. (!)

Hope you are all having good easter hols x

The last of the sun...

So we've headed up north for the Easter hols...which sounded like a good idea until I saw the weather forecast, which predicts snow, yes SNOW in the North of England most of this week.
Hmm. Not good.
So as I look out at the silver birch in the garden this evening and marvel at the amazing colour it has turned in the dying sunbeams, I have a feeling I won't be seeing a repeat performance of this spectacle for quite some time. At least not this week anyway.

Still, we have a week to fill, so am looking forward to filling it with happiness, so musn't be too glum!
Will keep you posted!
